April 9, 2004 E-GRAM

Albuquerque Press Women
- a chapter of New Mexico Press Women, a professional organization of journalists and nonfiction media writers. APW members meet the second Monday of the month to learn new skills from leaders in the field and to network with others in writing and photography.

NEXT LUNCHEON
-- April 12, 11:45 a.m., Sheraton Uptown. Tom Garrity, Chief of Staff for the Albuquerque Public School District, will discuss something all we communicators need to know more about: crisis communication. Getting the right message out when things potentially can go terribly wrong for your organization is the test of a good communicator. Garrity will give examples of how he deals with crisis communication on a regular basis. Before joining APS, he worked as a crisis communications specialist in the private sector for clients such as Furr's Supermarkets.

Reservation absolutely necessary. Members $15, nonmembers $21. Contact Janet Ford by April 8 at 275-9724 or abqpw@yahoo.com Please tell Janet if you want a vegetarian meal. Your reservation is our commitment to reserve your place – and your commitment to pay.
