Blogging: the Nuts and Bolts at Dec. 11 Luncheon

Whether you want to use bloggers to get your message in front of audiences, or you are considering starting your own blog, this program will offer up the Nuts and Bolts of Blogging.

Pari Noskin Taichert, Albuquerque author and blogger, and Jon Knudsen, adventure traveler whose eclectic career included 31 years as an elementary teacher and Duke City Fix blogger Johnny Mango, will discuss how they use their blogs and how others can use blogging for their own purposes.

Pari writes the Sasha Solomon mystery series, columns and non-fiction, makes numerous presentations at writers' conferences and has a public relations background. She blogs Mondays at this address: www.murderati.com

Johnny Mango blogs weekly from Nob Hill in Albuquerque at www.dukecityfix.com He is a retired school teacher who does extreme travel adventures and has recently taken up photography and blogging.

Last Chance Drawing--Don't forget to buy your chances to win! This is a nifty, SubZero cooler capable of holding 48 cans of cold soda (or its equivalent in other picnic goodies). It is a raffle fundraiser for the Press Women scholarship fund. Tickets will be sold for $1 each or 5 for $3. We will sell the tickets right up until the drawing, which will happen at the Dec. 11 lunch--need not be present to win. If you can't use the cooler and its contents yourself, it will make a great holiday gift!

November Luncheon--We got hot-off-their-printers information, some of which had not been published yet when Brian Sanderoff and Lonna Atkeson joined 38 of us to deconstruct the vote and the voters!

January Luncheon--Save the Date: Jan. 8, 2007. Stay tuned for details.
