The Story at UNM Press: Luther Wilson The "Big Picture at the University Press" is the topic on Monday, June 11 when University Press Director Luther Wilson talks to the Albuquerque Press Women about the current plans for the Press. Wilson is the award-winning director of the University of New Mexico's Press, serving a second stint as director here. He has worked at four other university presses beside UNM.
The University Press has garnered positive attention for its publication of American Indian authors. The Press has had sales of more than $5 million, is the largest publisher in the state and enjoys the reputation of being one of the best regional publishers in the country. We last heard from the UNM Press when The Education of Little Tree was making waves in publishing world.

Membership News--Dues are still due: Dues for 2007 are now payable ($35 a year for ABQ-only membership, or $10 a year if you are an NFPW and NMPW member). Those who have not renewed may pay at the door with your luncheon check, or you will be charged the nonmember price for the meeting.
