Press Women to Hear About Current Issues at APS

Martin Esquivel, District 4 board member of the Albuquerque Public School, will discuss current issues in APS at the monthly Albuquerque Press Women luncheon Monday, Sept. 10.

An attorney who practices business law, including open meetings and open records cases, Esquivel is also a former journalist and a community leader. He has recently put his open government concerns into action as the school board begins the process of selecting a superintendent to replace Beth Everitt. Esquivel is a UNM law school graduate, a former daily newspaper sports stringer, past president of NM Foundation for Open Government and a winner of awards for his community service.

Join us! Luncheon begins at 11:45 a.m. at the Sheraton Uptown hotel (Menaul & Louisiana). Members $15, nonmembers $21 (We take cash and checks).
